It’s taken on a new twist since the advent of “Really kind of,” which makes me want to scream. As in, “They raised twice as much money this year…it’s really kind of amazing!” What? Did you just cancel out both your qualifiers? And you’re right…the problem is the weak words around “really” that need propping up.
