Administrative Manager

Who We Are

Claxon teaches purpose-driven leaders, teams, and organizations how to communicate with clarity and confidence so they can increase awareness, revenue, and impact. Many of our clients are nonprofits. All of our clients want to make the world a better place.

The Role

In this role, you will support Claxon’s Founder & CEO, Erica Barnhart. Erica’s zone of genius is generating ideas and content, teaching, and coaching. She needs someone who can handle the administrative, technical, and logistical elements of client support, communication, and content delivery.

Claxon is a small, nimble business. As such, you will thrive in this position if you are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where last minute shifts sometimes occur. Having said that, part of the value you will bring to the company is creating robust systems and processes that mitigate unexpected disruptions in service delivery, and level up marketing and sales systems.

In addition to behind-the-scenes support, you will also interact with Claxon’s clients and partners. In particular, you will be responsible for onboarding new coaching clients, vetting podcast guests, handling all “paperwork” when Erica is a guest on another podcast, and reaching out to other podcast hosts to inquire if Erica would be a good fit for their podcast.

Who You Are

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication and writing skills. You will also need to know (or quickly learn) the ins and outs of the following platforms and systems as you will be responsible for continually optimizing them to support the company’s goals:

  • WordPress
  • MailChimp
  • Hubspot
  • Teachable
  • ScoreApp
  • Monday
  • Otter.Ai

In addition, you will be expected to make recommendations for changing to a different platform or system if you believe it will produce superior results and/or reduce stress, and/or take less time and energy to use, and/or any other compelling, bottom-line driven reason.

This position may be for you if you excel at:

  • Putting systems in place
  • Implementing big ideas
  • Tracking details
  • Creating processes and protocols
  • Keeping calendars and schedules updated

Compensation & Details

You will be expected to work 15-20 hours per week and compensation will be $25-$28/hour, depending on experience. You will not be expected to work evenings and weekends, unless there is an event (which would be known well in advance). As the nature of Claxon’s work can be time sensitive, you will be expected to respond to business-related emails within 24 hours.

How To Apply

Applications received by 5:00pm, March 10, will receive priority consideration.

If this description speaks to you, please 1) Fill out the Pierre Casse Communication Assessment, and then 2) send an email sharing your results from the assessment, as well as why you’d love to join the Claxon Team to info@claxon-communication.com.
